How do I correct my Ethnicity and Race Identification with the Federal Government?

You can change your race to American Indian with Federal Government by clicking on the link labeled SF-181 below. Once you have completed the form you can mail or fax to the following:

How do I get an Attakapas Opelousas Prairie Tribe Identification Card and how much is the price?

The price of the cards with or without a photo is $20.00. Please allow 7-10 business days to from the time your funds are received for your card to be processed and delivered. You can click on the link labeled AOPT ID below to view a sample of how your card will look.

Can I just send you a photo in the mail or email to have you make a photo ID for me?

All photos must be taken in the last 6 months to reflect your current appearance. Background must be plain white or off-white. Head must be directly facing the camera with your full face in view. In color. No glasses. Taken in clothing that you normally wear on a daily basis. No hats or head coverings, unless you wear it daily for religious purposes. Your full face must be visible and your head covering cannot cast shadows on your face. No headphones or wireless hands-free devices.

 

Is the Attakapas Opelousas Prairie Tribe photo ID compliant with the REAL ID act?

The REAL ID law applies to whether ‘state-issued’ IDs are compliant and our Attakapas Opelousas Prairie Tribe photo ID is not state-issued. The REAL ID law ONLY applies to state-issued driver’s licenses and identification cards.

Attakapas Opelousas Prairie Tribe citizens are required to pay all applicable taxes. Attakapas Opelousas Prairie Tribe citizens hold a dual citizenship but that does not exempt them from paying taxes.
